In 2015, new rules about greening payment was introduced. If our farm wanted to fill all the terms we would have to make a decision which crops to crow in the fields other than potatoes. This thesis was made by theoretical basic and the purpose of the thesis was to find a crop plant that would be best to grow next to potatoes and we wouldn’t have to do big investment. New plant should give us reasonable profit and there should be demand on the harvest. It would be also good if the new plant would make the ground structure better. The plant options were carrot, cumin, broad bean, grass and greenbelt. There was no very way suitable plants so we would have to make some compromises. So the plant selection included few unsuitable plants because we though those plants might have some good qualities. We made the comparisons between the plants comparing the qualities and growing technology that was mention below. The knowledge base for the plants was used in agricultural industry websites, literature and companies that to determing productivity, all the mention plant was counted profit margin. Base of the calculations were used farms own accounting. We got little bit help from the other farmers witch were grown the particular plants. Especially cumins threshing and dryer costs were helpful. Research show us that the best option were greenbelt and grass. The results of the research didn’t come as a surprise because greening payment scheme. Because of that fields are already seed for grass. In the future we will see what kind of in fact a crop rotation do to amount and quality of potatoes.
