This thesis is intended to find out what key elements have to be taken into account by leading the experts. The aim is to identify the business environment for trends of transition that affects the operations and management. In addition, the work defines and explains the terms of expertise and management, as well as it explains the key concepts of expertise and management.

The theoretical share was built by using analytical approach and the central role of research was the study of the subject, as well as literature. The result was a outline of the organizations in the current operating environment, and the study was defined as central theoretical concepts of expertise, organization and management. The empirical part was created by using the theme of the interview, which was used to acquire the experts' views and experiences of the key themes.

Management of expertise must be aware of the importance of the operating environment. In addition, people management skills play an important role. It is important to reassess the situation in management and, if necessary, to improve in the changing circumstances. Naturally, the changes can be confronted with the fair, but in this case the parties emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity. The most important thing is the common view of the fact that the conservative, traditional operation is only possible to a certain extent, because the world is changing and humans have to change along.

Management of expertise is facing new challenges. Traditional and patriarchal management is no longer working, but effective management requires better consideration of people as individuals and as members of a team. Management is still important, but its role is changing. It emphasizes coaching and service dimension, as well as strategic management skills.
