This thesis is a project work, which aimed to produce and execute two separate music workshops. The thesis’s themes are about music pedagogue’s overall work situation in Finland and how culture workshops all in all could be beneficial to expand the work field of music pedagogue. The thesis also opens educational content of music pedagogue’s studies in university of applied sciences, and how these are implemented in teaching plans of music workshops. Workshop culture in Finland aim to expand attendant’s possibilities to advance in his or her work or studying career. This aim is executed by achieving positive experiences towards learning and doing, which grows one’s self esteem, social adaptation and life management skills altogether. Music offers loads of tools and content for cultural workshops. Music pedagogy studies in University of applied science gives great deal of knowhow through pedagogic skills, over all music under- standing and in instrument playing abilities to produce and work with cultural workshops. The thesis author opens his style to produce and implement music workshops on a step by step basis. That includes communication with client to understand their values and to collect background information about the group that is going to be taught. When that has been clarified, the thesis author opens his procedure of producing a teaching plans and how his teaching values are included in them. After that the author refers how the workshops went on a teaching situation, what worked and what not. Covid-19 pandemic effected in the thesis in a way, that second planned workshop of the thesis was not been able to executed because of lockdowns in Finland. Finally, the thesis discusses about how work life’s big picture’s change is going to effect on Finnish workshop culture and how to develop it both on school and working field. The thesis author also thinks back how this thesis has influenced to his own pedagogical self-esteem and how did it shape the relevance of all the schooling and information that the author got from this degree.
