The focus for the project was to demonstrate 3D modeler’s work process in game development by going through all the steps in 3D modeling and Unreal Engine -workflow. To achieve this, the goal was to model a 3D scene based on a concept art, and import it to the Unreal Engine. 3D modeling chapter presents the Blender-software and its properties, along with the workflow to create models with said software. Apart from this, the project will also go through the steps of texturing a model with Substance Painter -software. When the models were finished, they were transferred over to Unreal Engine -platform and placed on the scene. Source information consists of personal experience with previously mentioned software, along with digital sources, like web pages, videos and articles. This thesis includes information about 3D modeling, and is recommended for students aspiring to work in the games industry.
