This thesis was a case study about forming and developing a corporate identity to a start-up company by means of a graphic designer. It is meant to bring up topics relevant to the creation process and to point out the graphical needs of a newly found start-up game company and to look for visual solutions from the graphic designer’s line of work.

The project for thesis was ordered by Helmeni Ltd. The primary goal for the commissioned project was to develop a corporate identity to Helmeni Ltd. including planning and developing a corporate logo and company website.

In the production phase of the thesis it was planned and put into effect the basic components of a corporate identity working with the customer from ground zero to the point agreed on in the contract.

The target was to create a recognizeable visual appearance which can be used as basis for the company's future communication and marketing.

The literature used as the basis of this thesis was written by professionals in the communication research as well as empirical experience gained in the project and observations on the case company's stakeholders.

The results of the thesis can be used as an example of a visual designer’s work and as a case study for a start-up company building its visual identity.
