ECG ergo (electrocardiography) registers heart’s electrical activity from the electrodes placed on patient’s chest. Examination gives information regarding heart’s electrical activity, cardiac muscles oxygen depletion and from possible arrhythmias and conduction disruptions.

Our thesis consists of comprehensive literature section and from our project’s results ergo educational video. Our thesis’s goal is to build a better knowledge foundation from taking ECG appropriately for our students and therefore better acquirements for practical training. Thesis’s aim was to product an educational video for taking 12-15 connectional ECG appropriately. The educational video is concentrated on performing ECG-registration technically. In the educational video we showed concretely how to take 12-15 connectional ECG.

Our thesis was functional, and it was ordered by Oulu’s university of applied sciences. Our the-sis was made under the nursing degree program in Oulu’s university of applied sciences. Educational video was made from the results of the thesis, which is targeted especially for the registered nurse’s studying in Oulu’s University of applied sciences. Our video is available for teachers and nursing degree students from Oulu’s University of applied sciences.
