The thesis is a commissioning work for the internal disease policlinic in Joint Municipal Authority of Wellbeing in Raahe District. The purpose of the study is to describe the experiences of patients with cancer in the implementation of the treatment and the cooperation between Raahe`s internal disease policlinic and Oulu´s cancer and hematology policlinic. The aim is to develop cooperation between internal disease policlinic and Oulu´s cancer and hematology policlinic through the results of the research.

Our research is qualitative. As a data collection method we used a questionnaire with open questions. The responses were analyzed by inductive content analysis based on the themes that emerged from the material.

The results of this study reveal that the flow of information between organizations has been mostly good. Coordination of the treatment showed that the appointment has gone well and the patient's wishes have been listened to. The results reveal dissatisfaction with the fact that the patient had to wait even though he has made an appointment. The distribution of work between organizations was mainly felt clear. The results describe the satisfaction to that treatment is also provided in Raahe. According to the respondents, control of treatment has been successful in both Oulu and Raahe. Most respondents felt they had enough guidance and information on their illness in both hospitals. Information was given orally and in writing by nurses and doctors. The results reveal satisfaction and dissatisfaction for getting support from nursing staff. Some respondents felt that they had not received any support at all, and some felt that they had received support with great gratitude. The answers reveal that support is perceived as important. There have also been differences in pay attention to relatives. Only one of the respondents felt that the attention to relatives was commendable. The treatment environment was mainly felt good. The results reveal dissatisfaction for a doctor to change frequently.

The cooperation between the organizations in the treatment of cancer patients has proceeded well. The flow of information, care coordination, control of treatments, guidance, and care environment was mostly felt good. The biggest problem with the implementation of the treatment was the lack of support. Some respondents and most of the relatives have not received any support during the treatments. The results, however, point out that the support would be needed.
